GE Inspection Robotics

Switzerland

GE Inspection Robotics is a joint venture of GE’s Power Services and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich (ETH Zürich). The company was founded in 2006 as ALSTOM Inspection Robotics and transitioned to GE in 2015. Inspection Robotics develops mobile inspection robots for large-scale facilities in the field of power generation, Oil & Gas and industrial processing. These devices increase the availability of facilities thanks to shorter servicing intervals, and improve safety for people and the environment. Inspection Robotics’ products are characterized by innovation, everyday reliability and a robustness appropriate for industrial conditions.

The product portfolio ranges from manual hand-held scanners to autonomous cleaning & inspection robots. The developments are based on a modular platform design which enables the company to quickly adapt the systems to new customer applications.

Currently Inspection Robotics rolls out a series of new robotic platforms for remote visual inspection (RVI) and various NDT robots. With leading edge technology such as autonomous weld following and automated slippage compensation they provide innovative solutions in a very competitive market.
