GRAETZ Strahlungsmeßtechnik GmbH

Germany

Today, increased environmental awareness and safety sensitivity characterize people’s handling with radioactivity. Wherever radioactive sources are handled or radioactivity has to be detected and measured, dosemeters and dose rate meters are used.
For more than 60 years GRAETZ is designing, manufacturing and marketing hand-held, battery operated measuring and alarm instruments for the personal radiation protection, suitable for measuring and detecting alpha, beta and gamma radiation.
Applications for the GRAETZ instruments are:
Non Destructive Testing (NDT), fire brigades, customs, police, civil defence/disaster control, nuclear medicine, authorities (such as factory inspectorates, environmental authorities), research and industry (such as mining, refineries, chemical industry, petrochemistry, steel industry, OFF-shore, etc.), nuclear technology (such as nuclear power plants, waste disposal, permanent waste disposal sites), shipping companies or special customer requirements.
GRAETZ has a calibration installation for radiation measuring instruments, equipped with several radiation sources up to 16,7 TBq (450 Ci) 137Cs to calibrate the instruments as well as a special department approved for the repair of radioactively contaminated instruments - both  officially licensed.
Introduced quality management systems: DIN EN ISO 9001:2008, EN 13980 (ATEX directive 94/9/EC) and AQAP 2105 (acc. to NATO requirements).
GRAETZ is a medium sized owner-managed German company. The GRAETZ products are sold worldwide - either by distributors or directly from Altena.
