The tasks solved by society:

- in every way promotes the complex development of scientific and technical progress in creation of modern means of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics;

- promotes the fastest introduction of achievements of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics in the industry, improves the efficiency and quality of the developed, manufactured and operated means of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics;

- directly participates in preparation of NDT specialists of all levels;

- improves the qualification of ORGANIZATION’ members, expands and deepens their knowledge, promotes the best traditions of physics, computer facilities, achieves the qualitatively new and appropriate to the world requirements level of training and retraining of the experts in non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics;

- strengthens and develops mutually advantageous cooperation in all its forms in the field of research, development and introduction of means of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics, including with national NDT societies of other countries;

- organizes the wide exchange of scientific ideas and engineering solutions, promotes mutual understanding between the scientists and production workers, generalizes and distributes the experience accumulated in the international community in the field of the newest technologies of non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics
