TSC Inspection Systems

United Kingdom

Established in 1984, TSC Inspection Systems, were a team of Professors and Lecturers who were recognised leaders in the fields of NDT, robotics and fracture mechanics. ACFM® Technology was developed with support from BP, BG, Conoco and Shell, who were keen to dramatically improve the reliability of underwater inspection, reduce the reliance on the operator and provide auditable records. After intense research and development, ACFM® technology was born and has become widely recognised and accepted as one of the most reliable methods of detecting surface-breaking cracks in steel structures and metallic components.

Due to the widely recognised reliability of ACFM® as an inspection technique, TSC´s equipment and inspection services are routinely used in high-integrity industries such as Oil & Gas, Defence, Nuclear, Transport and Mining.  The accuracy of ACFM® technology is second to none and enables the measurement of the length and depth of cracks, through paint and other coatings, whilst producing instant auditable inspection data.

TSC continue to design, develop and manufacture ACFM® technology and products to the highest standard, employing a range of highly qualified skilled engineers and technicians. Recent developments embrace the use of crawlers and scanners in ACFM® inspection techniques, in both subsea and topside applications. One of our latest advancements combining ACFM® and crawler technology is the AXIS, an axle inspection solution developed for the freight rail market, reducing a full axle inspection time down to just 2 minutes. Today TSC offers our customers a wide range of support, globally, in the execution of inspection programs including Inspection Services, Equipment Rental, Product Sales and Technical Support.
