Sweden

The next European Conference on Non-Destructive Testing will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden, June 11-15, 2018. The conference will be arranged within the cooperation of the Nordic countries. The conference venue will be at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Center in the city center. In connection to the venue is the Gothia Tower hotel area which together represents the largest combined conference and hotel facility in Europe. Gothenburg, the second largest city in Sweden is situated on the beautiful west coast, right in the heart of Scandinavia.

The conference will be inspired of the long NDT tradition in Nordic countries. In Sweden and Finland the energy sector and specially the nuclear power technology is a strong part in the development of efficient NDT. In Norway, the offshore industry with extreme environment material technology is important for the strong development in the area. In Denmark the wind power industry has led to new efficient NDT systems for large constructions.
