DB Systemtechnik is a high-performing, custom-driven service provider that, as well as authoritatively serving the Deutsche Bahn Group by dint of its specialist knowledge is also increasingly active on the global railway market. With its English subsidiary ESG RAIL and the Notified Body Railway Approvals (RAL) DB Systemtechnik aims to become the leading provider of railway engineering and testing services in Europe.

With 3 technical business lines and 18 test centres, DB Systemtechnik covers a wide range of railway engineering. 800 employees deal with the orders placed by our customers in Germany and abroad.

Three business lines ensure that customer enquiries are addressed in a professional manner. The engineering services segment focuses primarily on looking after our customers’ fleets of rolling stock.

The segment for approval management, tests and certification offer all kind of testing for components and whole vehicles. The segment maintance technology offers services in the fields of conceptual design, installation and optimisation of all elements of the maintenance system for railway application and it’s infrastructure.
