Since its founding in Madison, Wisconsin in 2005, Phoenix Nuclear Labs (PNL) has designed and manufactured commercial neutron generators. PNL’s commitment to commercializing nuclear technologies for practical applications has inspired our long-term goal of producing clean, fusion energy. Our achievements have enabled PNL to market our technologies across a variety of applications within medicine, defense, and energy sectors. The PNL neutron generator is the first neutron generator viable for commercial neutron radiography. At only a fraction of the size and cost of a nuclear reactor, it is strong enough to power a neutron radiography system, allowing for onsite, real-time neutron imaging of manufactured components in a factory setting.
